Navim Equipment on Mein Schiff Relax | Hull 6312
Navim Group is present with its equipment on Mein Schiff Relax ordered to Fincantieri by TUI Cruises, a joint venture between TUI AG and Royal Caribbean Cruises, delivered from the Monfalcone Shipyard on 7th February 2025.
Mein Schiff Relax, the first ship in the new “InTUITion” ship class, is designed with energy efficiency in mind, with dual-fuel configuration, being able to operate on LNG or Marine Gas Oil in line with TUI Cruises’ dual goals of optimising energy consumption and minimising environmental impact. Her sistership Mein Schiff Flow is expected next year, around late April.
Mein Schiff Relax is 333 metres long, with a beam of 42.1 metres, a gross tonnage of 160.000, a service speed of 22 knots, and it accomodates for 3.984 guests and 1.100 crew members on 10 decks.
Side Doors, Access and Handling Systems 
On Mein Schiff Relax Navim Group provided the design, engineering, supply, manufacturing, and final commissioning of a complete range of access and handling systems to fulfill the needs of loading and offloading passengers, crew, provisions and spares such as Shell Doors & Observation Platforms, Side Shell Hatches and Doors, Provision and Luggage Platforms Hydraulically and/or Manually Operated.
LifeSaving Systems 
Navim Group has also designed, engineered and successfully delivered 8 Semi-gravity hinged davits for Lifeboats (440 persons capacity) with electro-hydraulic winches, 6 stored power hinged davits for combined Tenders/Lifeboats (267persons capacity) with electro-hydraulic winches, 2 gravity type davits for Rescue Boats with electric winch.
Funnels Handling Systems 
The scope of supply of this latest Navim Group branded product comprises 2 hydraulically operated systems for the handling of 5 exaust gas pipes.
The entire system consists of some sub-systems, according to the characteristic of the supply, which can be single with a double translation for each pipe, or triple with double translation for each pipe or even quadruple with a single translation system for each pipe.The supply is completed by the the Hydraulic Power Unit dimensioned to complete the pipes extension of each system in abt. 4 minute, for a total ca. 16 minute. This new state-of-the-art plant designed specifically for cruise ships takes us higher and higher in the true sense of the word.
