THE BEGINNING
Navalimpianti Spa was established in 1971 as a privately owned company dedicated to the construction and installation of automation systems, piping, and electrical systems for naval and industrial applications. Initially, the company operated from a small office in Genoa, but within a couple of years, it moved to its current headquarters in Ceranesi, in the hinterland of Genoa.
The company quickly expanded, establishing a strategic branch in Monfalcone near Trieste to be close to Italy’s largest naval shipyard. This was followed by the opening of a branch in Palermo in 1973, and later in the port of Genoa.
Navim Group is agile in the capacity to diversify systems engineering and products offering, smart in anticipating and adapting to the ever-changing demands of the market, brave in adopting an expansion strategy:
Navalimpianti USA, established in 1994 in Miami as a retrofitting and after-sales service center;
Navalimpianti Pula, established in 1996 in Croatia as an engineering studio for structural design works in 3D;
Navalimpianti China, established in 2001 in Shangai, China, to offer commercial, technical and service support to ship-owners operating in the Far East and local shipyards;
Navalimpianti Singapore Pte. Ltd established in 2010 to monitor the market and follow more closely the eastern-asiatic areas;
The core business consists of Lifesaving Appliances (Davits and Winches), Valves Remote Control Systems, Access and Handling Systems, CAE, Skydome Sliding Covers for swimming-pools, Light&Sound Systems.
