Navim Equipment on STAR PRINCESS | Hull 6311
Navim Group is present with its equipment on Star Princess ship ordered to Fincantieri by Princess Cruises delivered from the Monfalcone Shipyard in late September 2025. At 175,500 gross tons “Star Princess” is the second largest ship built so far in Italy, as well as one of the first LNG (liquefied natural gas) cruise ships ever built by Fincantieri, and the second dual-fuel vessel powered primarily by LNG to enter Princess’ fleet. LNG is the marine industry’s most environmentally friendly advanced fuel technology and the world’s cleanest fossil fuel, which will significantly reduce air emissions and marine gasoil usage. “Star Princess” is the second Sphere class, following her sister-ship delivered in February 2024. They will each accommodate approximately 4,300 guests and are based on a next-generation platform design.
Side Doors, Access and Handling Systems 
On the Star Princess Navim Group provided the design, engineering, supply, manufacturing, and final commissioning of a complete range of access and handling systems to fulfill the needs of loading and offloading passengers, crew, provisions and spares such as Shell Doors & Observation platforms – Side Shell hatches and doors – provision and luggage platforms hydraulically and/or manually operated.
Davits on Star Princess 
Navim Group has also designed, engineered and successfully delivered the supply, assembly, testing and delivery of the launching and embarkation of Lifeboat, Tender and Rescue Boat DAVITS; particularly, 10 Stored power hinged Davits with hydraulic winches for Lifeboats (444 persons capacity), 6 Stored power hinged Davits with hydraulic winches for combined Lifeboat/Tenderboat (178 persons capacity), 2 Stored power Telescopic Davits with electric (or hydraulic) winches for Life Rescue boats (6 persons capacity each).
Window Washing and Dimming Systems 
Also the Lighting Equipment, Dimming System and RGB Strips creating suggestive and magical atmosphere to the main halls of the Ship has been provided by Navim Group.
The concept design, engineering, construction and commissioning of safely and easily operating Window Washing Systems are also provided by Navim Group.
