Navalimpianti USA, Inc. (Navim US) was established in South Florida in 1993 as the U.S. branch for Navalimpianti and Tecnimpianti Italy, specifically to support the growing cruise industry. Now located in Fort Lauderdale and staffed by over 30 highly qualified personnel, Navim US has become a vital force within the Navim Group.
In its modern offices and innovative workshop, Navim US is recognized as a leader in the service and maintenance of lifesaving appliances. Its prime location and local expertise allow it to service up to 80 cruise ships annually, covering about 75% of the cruise market.
Navim US offers comprehensive overhauls of accumulators, winches, davit arms, and more, utilizing state-of-the-art sandblasting, painting, and metalizing facilities. The company also conducts week-long “Davit Riding Team” training sessions, enabling owners to send teams for hands-on learning with the manufacturer. With in-house Lloyd’s Register certified welders, Navim US provides welding services both on-board and in the workshop.
The Navim US warehouse maintains an extensive inventory of wires for davits, ensuring timely delivery of wire falls for lifesaving appliances. They offer reeling, measuring, cutting tooling, vessel tracking, and certification procedures. Their 10,000 square foot warehouse houses a large spare parts inventory, testing equipment, and measuring instruments to ensure safety.
In 2007, Navim expanded its operations by incorporating Light & Sound SpA (L&S), which is now a strong and growing division based at Navim US. This division provides a full range of products targeted at the cruise industry, including dimming systems and electronic safety systems, along with comprehensive design and integration for AV and lighting needs.
Navim US celebrated its 25th anniversary in October 2018, and its strategic location near South Florida ports, coupled with a spacious office and warehouse, positions it for continued success in the years ahead.
